Puerto Vallata - A tropical interlude

But we weren't in the mood to relax for long - we set out early the next morning to dive a small group of coastal islands a 45 minute speed boat ride away. The diving wasn't too challenging & in fact had fairly limited visibility. That said it was the perfect refresher dive for K who'd not been suited & booted for a few years.

The islands are the only other place (other than the Galapagos) that provide home to the Blue footed Boobi. (along with the Blue Agave plant used in Tequila - I was starting to get a common colour theme going on!)

We return relaxed & pleasantly tired, & spent the early evening watching the sun sink into the Pacific before heading into the vibrant town for dinner at Buber's shrimp restaurant; a tribute to the Forest Gump movie no less
